Courtney desires to help people overcome life’s obstacles. She has a heart for inviting the healing work of Christ into the counseling process while meeting clients where they are in life. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, Courtney enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in a variety of areas including:
- Depression, anxiety, and other emotional difficulties
- Self-esteem and identity issues
- Childhood trauma and abuse
- Separation and divorce
- Life transitions
- Grief and loss
- Relationship conflict and communication
- Spiritual healing, growth and renewal
Courtney is passionate about helping children learn and develop through the process of play therapy. She holds a certificate in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is able to help parents and caregivers through the Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) Program. When fitting, Courtney enjoys using expressive arts with clients of any age to help enrich the counseling journey.
Courtney received her MEd in Counseling and Development with a Clinical Mental Health concentration from Winthrop University. She also received her BS in Psychology from the College of Charleston.
Outside of work, Courtney loves to paint, write, sing, cook, scrapbook, walk nature trails, and most of all spend time with family and friends.
