Crystal believes in the power of connection and storytelling. She understands how our relationships and the stories of our lives shape our reality. Crystal strives to provide a safe space where every person can feel comfortable sharing what’s heavy on their heart. She believes everyone deserves to feel heard, accepted, and celebrated.
As a Marriage & Family Therapy Intern, Crystal works with couples, families, and individuals. She recognizes how life stages, unexpected life events, and negative patterns of interaction impact couples and families. She walks with clients through these ups and downs, helping to bolster their strengths and resources to overcome the challenges they are facing.
Crystal also has a special interest in working with teens and adults who have experienced trauma, crisis, and loss. She has experience working as a victims advocate with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She is also a volunteer crisis counselor, helping those experiencing suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, and grief during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Crystal is in her final year at Northcentral University, pursuing a graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and is a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a concentration in Professional Writing from UNC-Charlotte and is a published journalist. Crystal enjoys traveling and camping with her husband, kids, and fur babies. When she’s not taking in nature’s beauty, you’ll find her curled up with a book, an acoustic playlist, and a cup of coffee.
