Dawn believes that we are all created for connection and designed to thrive through secure relationships. She strives to create a strong and safe alliance with her clients as they work to navigate and
grow through difficult seasons of life. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, Dawn works with adults, couples, adolescents, and families through a variety of concerns including:
- Depression and anxiety
- Grief and Loss
- Life transitions
- Self-image and identity issues
- Divorce and separation
- Relationship conflict
- Preparation for marriage
- Spiritual questions and concerns
Dawn is passionate about walking alongside individuals as they face life transitions, such as
early adulthood, midlife, divorce, empty nest, and retirement. She is a certified facilitator of the
PREPARE/ENRICH assessment, a tool that helps couples gain a better understanding of each
other, and is currently pursuing certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Dawn received her MA in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte.
She also holds a BA in Journalism and Political Science from UNC Chapel Hill.
In her free time, Dawn enjoys walking and hiking with friends, watching movies, and searching
for anyone who dares to challenge her in Scrabble.
