Jessie strongly believes in the inner strength, inherent dignity, and capability of each client that she works with. Her goal is to provide a safe environment where her clients feel understood, accepted, and are able to grow. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, Jessie helps children, teens, adults, and families work through a wide array of issues including:
● Depression and anxiety
● Life Transitions
● Behavioral issues with children
● Parenting and family issues
● School-related issues
● Post-adoption care/attachment issues
● Self-esteem and identity issues
● Emotional regulation
● Spiritual concerns
Jessie has a passion for working with children and creating an environment in which they can
grow and thrive. She also greatly enjoys working with adoptive families to find healing and
connection. Jessie has been trained in several play therapy techniques, including Child-
Centered Play Therapy and Child-Parent Relationship Training. Through the use of evidenced-
based practices, Jessie believes in the importance of collaborating with clients and works to
help them identify their own strengths in reaching their goals.
Jessie received her MA in Counseling with a concentration in Play Therapy from UNC Charlotte.
She also holds a BA in Psychology from UNC Charlotte.
Outside of work, Jessie enjoys being outdoors, running, and spending time with friends, family
and her dog, Piper.
